1、 Open flame

Another important hazard is the use of lighters, matches, smoking, and other behaviors within the restricted area of the oil depot.

2、 Spontaneous combustion

Spontaneous combustion refers to the process in which oil materials undergo oxidation-reduction reactions and generate heat without external ignition sources, gradually reaching the self ignition point and starting to burn. Generally speaking, there are three main reasons for the spontaneous combustion of SF double-layer tanks: electrostatic spontaneous combustion, sulfur spontaneous combustion, and phosphine spontaneous combustion.

3、 Thunder and lightning

The oil and gas mixture near the SF double-layer tank caught fire due to lightning, which is also one of the causes of the fire. Large SF double-layer tanks should adopt lightning protection and anti-static safety measures, such as installing lightning rods to prevent lightning from entering the tank area and lightning strikes.
