1. It is not suitable to harvest oil in rainy weather. If necessary, operations should be strictly carried out in accordance with safety operating procedures. Avoid the formation of large amounts of flammable and explosive mixtures inside and outside the tank, as well as lightning strikes, explosions, and fires. Lightning protection facilities should be regularly inspected to ensure their integrity and effectiveness.
How should lightning protection measures be taken for cement oil storage tanks
When installing lightning protection facilities, all metal components, electrical equipment, pipelines, etc. Unified and comprehensive consideration should be given around the oil tank. At the same time, overhead lines are not allowed to enter the tank area to avoid generating discharge sparks and introducing lightning waves.
3. Simple induction grounding should be tested at least once a year, and its resistance should not exceed 30 ohms. If it does not meet the requirements, corresponding measures should be taken.
4. Directly enter the underground down lead from the grounding card on the tank wall, and check whether the bolts on the surface of the connecting parts are loose and corroded. If necessary, it should be wiped and tightened in a timely manner.
5. For tanks without lightning arresters, check whether there is insulation connection between the tank top accessories and the tank top metal, especially the bolts and nuts between the breathing valve and the flame arrester, as well as the connecting short pipe of the flame arrester. There are no missing parts, rust or looseness that affect the lightning path.
